What type of Loctite are you using for connecting the bolts?
Hur ska man dra svänghjulsbultarna? Moment och ordning osv?
Reminds me so much of my old 1965 (ETO 639C) which I had so many years ago. Great engine, but always wished it had more power given the weight of the lovely coupe.
Vad använde du när du gjorde rent kamkåpan? Den ser ju kartong ny ut!! :o
Can you do a video on setting the timing with a regular points and condenser distributor? Thank you in advance.
How many hours labor do you figure in changing out timing gears (66 Amazon)...a bit worried what the mechanic is going to quote the job at.
that crazy nice video bro
I did not see if you put the collar around the end of the oil pump drive shaft. I am told these are needed for the higher performance engines. However I have not seen a failure with road cars.
Vad är det för packningskister ni kör med? vart finns det och köpa? Måste säga att det är riktigt roligt att se dessa videos. Mycket hög kvalitet! :)
Thank you so much for this video. It is always a pleasure to see your skill at all that you do!!!
I own 2 classic cars ('66 Amazon and '71 Super Beetle) and a 21 year old Toyota 4Runner. There is no shortage of 'how-to' videos on the latter two, probably because of the sheer volume of cars manufactured and their very wide distribution. Many, many fewer how to videos on the Amazon but yours are terrific for their clarity and thoroughness and the very good camera work, which is so important to the viewer trying to screw up the courage to tackle the task himself Thanks to both of you-great team!
Good. Team. Work. Go. Man. Go
What a great video! Thank's. I need to do the same operation for my 145. I know B20 quite well but I got some good new tips. :) I live in Finland so you garage is little bit too far to bring the engine there.
Very nice video! I would have loved to hear how the car ran after the swap. I'm most interested in the car's idle. After cutting about 2 sec. off the 0-60 time was the idle lumpy? I've had a Iskenderian VV61 cam in the car for 15 years and I've had lumpy idle at 900 rpm since it was installed. I've changed the jets in the Weber adnauseum but iv'e never been able to get a smooth idle at 750rpm. The car is now fuel injected with Megasquirt, and I can get a somewhat decent idle at 900 rpm by running a bit rich. Do B18s idle perfectly at 750 rpm with any camshaft, Volvo or aftermarket?
On a regular daily driver would you say it’s ok to reuse the original head bolts if they were never removed before?
It looks nice but the engine is small.
Would this be the same for the c4 grand picasso mk2 64 plate??
