What a great video, and it's even more amazing that you can do all that while holding the camera!!

thanks really helpful. how would you take that switch to another room with a separate switch and spotlights would you connect a live to l2 and neutrals to the connector block and then move it to the next switch?

'I need a workbench' No, it then becomes a storage shelf and your back on the floor! Maybe a huge lap tray with a cushion on the back, contoured to sit square on a neighbouring bonnet (hood). Happy New Hubnut Year.

Also, you removed the boot that was fine first. Couldn't you just remove the broken boot side, and if so, is the process any different?

Question: Could I get away with pulling the shaft by removing the circlit clip inside the boot at the inner bearing as opposed to knocking the whole assembly out? I ask because I cant seem to find the retaining c-clip at a resonable price around me and I'm worried about destroying them when jerking them out. Thanks!

The 1600 Mini seems to use a lot of oil. The dipstick is useless so hard to read. I had within a week, two different people with two different miinis pull up outside my house and check their oil and then add some! Says all really!

I almost always go straight to the drivers side door wiring first, i find that to be the most common failure spot. Great video!!! Looking forward to part 2

Urethane squeaks. Use the TT bushings, instead. They ride fine and they last.

So glad I ran across this chamnel. I had the same idea for the shafts for my syncro Corrado.

Really good instructional video, never heard of Wago connectors before. However, having spent nearly 50 years in industrial safety, appalled at the use of a knife for wire stripping. Remember an apprentice cable stripping and stabbed his thigh. Would have died had we not got our own medics and surgery on site. Still.l using my 50 year old Bib strippers!

I'll have to look into the schematic further, and rewatch video but gut feeling is ground with high resistance failure mode. I remember a few years ago in a training class with those electric test boards for multimeter education that the instructor induced a high resistance ground fault into a relay control circuit and it acted pretty identically (relay contacts worked as a buzzer). I'm assuming that the module is basically using a relay set-up in the board (picturing a dual relay set up but have to think through it further), not transistor drivers but we know what happens when we assume.
