Hi Matt, have you had any condensation in the van or has it been alright? I'm trying to decide whether I need to buy a roof light with an electric fan or not. Cheers
Hiya Matt, Do you have any idea what that putty tape is called that can be used for the roof vent as a sealant on the corrugated roof? I can only find U.S channels talking about 'bugle tape', I watched a video with someone using the putty a while back but cant find it now... it works well putting pieces in between the grooves first and then a second layer on top to seal the vent to... im having a mare trying to find it or the name of it :-(I dont want to use silicone as I have had problems with that stuff in my van this week, leaking in where I silicon-ed the piece of roof the police put back on the roof after removing a camera dome... (waffle waffle lol) anyway if you know the name of it, or anyone here does it would be much appreciated as my next jobs are to install my roof light and my fan. Thanks, Jay
Love your videos Matt. Looking forward to your progress with the van.
I feel your pain. I’ve got the same van, well, Renault version. Just put a Fiamma Roof window in last weekend. Seems I did the same as you and used Perspex to fill the Roof ripples. All went fine...until Sikaflex was added to equation! There’s no way of smoothing it off, it’s flippin horrible! Just glad the insulation and ceiling will cover the Sika flex finger prints. Good luck in the rest of the build, I’ll be watching for tips. Now to remove that bulkhead.
