Ok - read the instructions and looked easy enough but one of the ball joints is not threaded and therefore I can't bolt on to the lower bracket as per the instructions. So much for German engineering...
Kewl product! Thanks for the info. I'm a new Solstice owner. Do you think these would function properly even without the torsion bars providing any tension to lift at all? Second question. I looked at the German website and couldn't determine if they are sold in pairs or individually. Can you clarify that for me? Thanks in advance.
Omg your trunk is so clean, that paint is perfect
Hey Tim enjoyed the video. On a related note. My buttress will not stay secured on my driver's side only. I will secure it however driving down the road it pops up. Any thoughts???
It is recommended to not use the hollow fairings on the trunk to push it closed, unless you can let it fall with gravity before latching. ie: pressure on these aerodynamic housings coould crack them. It happens.
I went to Lowe’s and bought springs for like $3 and they pop up the trunk just fine. No hard swings. But this kit is definitely cool as a second route to use.
...had the issue with the springs pulling the boot lid out of this idea..just got it ordered.. thanks Tim
Subscribed! Looks like a great product, thanks for sharing. I printed the install instructions off of the sellers website, and it shows mounting positions A, B, C on one bracket, and 1, 2, 3, 4 on the other. I like the movement and opening level on yours. Can you share which mount positions you have yours set at? Thanks!
Yeah I sure would like to order one but I'm not trying to wait 3 months to get it from germany. You think it's other products on eBay
