Comments on how to fix insulation on a Maybach 57:
You are the master of converting a van!!!
Hello Linnea. Did you have enough insulation left over to ... up anywhere? And if you did, where?
man, after watching 2 of your videos I just subscribed. excellent job.
If at all possible dont pack insulation tightly. You lose R value when you pack it tight.
New Subscriber thanks
Very good vid guys! Great work!
Blūmiņš traks.
Just had my 2017 in for this issue. 2013-2017 Escapes are now covered under TSB - 0034. If still under warranty period Ford will fix it and replace the cover assembly with one with a screen to keep critters out.
*great tips*
MrChelston Thanks for your comments, I am just putting the final piece in place, ie a Status TV ariel which fits inside the wardrobe and pushes up through the roof and can be swiveled and tilted from inside the van. I did mean to fit one last year but never got round to it. Once this is done I will feel the van is finally completed to my satisfaction!
So cool to watch one of the older videos.
Boy do I hate this ... insulated junk, no protection from this type of 'disaster'
Boring- bmx Street!
Excellent vid Mark! Lots of great info!! and for me limited editing keeps it real, isn't that what it's all about real life as it happens!! !! Keep up the brilliant work mate thanks heaps. Seeya Rob
Won't it get wet between the ... and the foam, and eventually rot?
Pretty impressive stuff Danie. What type of camera are you using to get those great shots? Great channel, I’m subbed. Cheers. Wait what? You’re using your phone? Do you always use your phone?
Thanks for the video.
Nice editing work on the intro, the conversion is progressing along well.
Chris I would like to get some of your roof padding. Let me know how to hook up with you. I have PayPal. Thanks
totally LOVE Atlas. what a star! the bit where his lead drags all the tape rolls out of the van was really funny. Its a great series and I am enjoying every video. BTW, what a beautiful area you live in.
This video cracked both Tracy and I up, so good. I can't point to anything particular but the delivery was great. So true about having the right tools for the job. Home Depot is a complete nightmare! Good God. Wonderfully done, see you next week.
I had the idea to do this to my jeep wrangler unlimited for months now and came across your vid. I'm still researching how well this would fit in my jeep in that rear floor compartment...t houghts???!!! Thanks
Thanks for sharing! Your the first person i have found doing a smart reflective material installation that is similar to what i am doing. I am using ... sided attic foil ($70 whole 14ft box truck) with a 1x1 first, then foil, then another 1x1, then 3in home-depot polyiso with the top reflective surface painted. I also have a fully vented crawl space and attic. Basically a box in a box. If i am correct in my hypothesis; the heat will be reflected out in the summer and when i am heating the heat will pass through the polyiso and then get reflected back towards the interior. I cant wait to see if it works in the next few months when i finish. Safe travels!
