Comments on how to fix CV boot on a Jaguar I-Pace:
The boot and locks on both front doors desperately need doing on my Deuche. I haven't done any dismantling and cleaning of them for well over 10 years and they are definitely showing signs of needing doing. I'll probably drop them in a jar of petrol for a couple of hours. Or Coca-Cola (other colas are available).
Good job
have you attempted to take the old shaft apart? my friend has a leaky inner joint as wondering if I could knock the outer joint off and then slide the new boots on? thanks Mini guru

I just replaced my CV boots. The steps are pretty much identical. Problem is, when I put everything back together, there is some play in my wheel. Looks like my tie rod end isn't getting tight. Is that a sign of the tie rod end going bad? Or do I need to impact it until it tightens up?
